I enjoy a good story. I like reading people’s stories and even more I get a real buzz out of helping people tell their stories and write them down. It’s one of the reasons I love editing our weekly post and encouraging people to share something of who they are and what they are up to.

We get great feedback from readers of the weekly posts and we are always looking out for new posts so if you have a story you would like to tell please think about writing a draft and sending it to me. Telling our stories, both personal and organisational, I believe is one of the best and most effective ways of engaging people, their hearts as well as their minds. What we have found works is a good strong question that is engaging, that has you the reader stop and think, and want to read on. Then a strong beginning, something about you and, or what you are going to go on to tell us about and an ending with a ‘leadership nudge’ to think or act differently, or to make a different choice.
