Does one of my practices work for you?

For a while, I struggled to find Reverse but eventually worked it out!!

For a while, I struggled to find Reverse but eventually worked it out!!

We are just back from a brilliant holiday in Thailand and Laos. There’s lots to report including a wonderful time with the elephants but the lasting memory is the calm peacefulness of everyone we met – and, yes, extraordinarily it was everyone.

Being immersed in this world for two weeks helped me feel even more connected to one of my practices. I noticed a while ago that whilst in many situations I was bringing my energy, my intent to get things done, it was often on top of a feeling of anxiety and worry. So I created the guideline for myself of

“First, calm. Then, intent.”

That is, bring all your energy and drive, Steve, but on top of the foundation of feeling calm and relaxed.

So this week, see if you can notice if you’re bringing all your marvellous energy on top of a basis of calm or one of anxiety and worry. If your platform is not calm, take some time to pause, breath and find some calm. Do let me know what you notice,

Best wishes, Steve…..

Steve,
I have had the same experience. All due to the fact folks are mainly Buddist. Always feel calmer post a trip with my team in Thailand !
