About David Maddison

I have been in the profession for 31 years of which the last 16 years have been at St. Peter’s C. of E. Primary School, East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire and remain as passionate about our core purpose the ‘profound personal development’ of the children in my care as I have ever done.  I fully recognise our responsibility to the children and families we serve and have always looked to achieve the kind of school I’d want my own children to come to.  We strive, therefore for the very highest standards which reflect first and foremost our core purpose, driven by ‘guiding principles’, and this helps us to create a culture of opportunity for all, within a day to day climate that says ‘take part’.  We believe that we have not only a long term outstanding school but one that is energetic and spirited within which children can genuinely learn and grow into all they can become and be up to something!   The school is full of life and activity, confident to innovate and go in its own direction, recognizing the need to maintain a qualitative and disciplined approach, whilst always being willing to be judged by its outcomes.  FED has had and will continue to have a significant role in helping us achieve, sustain and move this on.
